Almost Everything Takes Forever

Almost Everything Takes Forever

Kirsten Wasson, Almost Everything Takes Forever (Antrim House, 2011)

Almost Everything Takes Forever is a compilation of 25 years of Kirsten Wasson’s poetry, which has been hailed as “astute, witty, precise, condensed, and heartbreakingly honest, a book filled with the presence of life as we really live it.” It focuses on the bonds of love between parents and children.

Wasson teaches multicultural American literature, Asian American literature, and Jewish American literature at Ithaca College. In addition to being a widely published poet, she has written nonfiction that has appeared in Ascent magazine and the Ithaca Times.
