IC Celebrates MLK

Ithaca College held a series of events to commemorate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Highlights included the following:

• A talk by equality advocate Ash Beckham titled "Give Voice to Your Truth”

• A screening of the Emmy-winning film All That Remains by filmmaker Crystal Kayiza ’15, which profiles the historic black town of Boley, Oklahoma


• A presentation by first-year students in the Martin Luther King Scholar Program on their experiences from their fall 2014 civil rights tour

• “The Dream Never Dies,” the School of Music’s annual MLK celebration concert featuring students and faculty, the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, and the debut of the Keepers of the Dream Ensemble—a group formed to continue the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. through music with a social justice message.
