You may have received an email about IC Giving Day. Or seen a tweet or two (or 20). You may have seen a video of me running around campus, announcing “It’s Giving Day!” Some of you may have wondered, “What is this Giving Day all about?” Well, I can tell you—it’s not all about giving. 

It’s about the college engaging with its supporters and fostering excitement about what we can do when we all come together. Alumni and parents can have a significant impact on the quality of an IC education, and when you give to the college, no matter the size of the gift, you are placing a vote of confidence in its future. 

As I read through some of the social media posts on Giving Day, I was touched by the expressions of enthusiasm by alumni, parents, current students, faculty and staff members, and friends of the college. It moved me to see how deeply these supporters cared about the future of IC.
