Mailbox: Kudos to Dean Ostrander

My husband, Matthew Jenkins ’96, and I have been following the story of the retirement of Dean Arthur Ostrander (ICView 2008/2).

During our time as students in the School of Music, Dean Ostrander was a visible and vital part of everyday life in [what was then] Ford Hall. He was approachable and friendly, and he always made us feel like he knew us personally. He was present at just about every concert and would make a point to congratulate students that night or the next day on a job well done.

Dean Ostrander was possibly one of Ithaca College’s greatest assets. We were honored to be a part of his School of Music, and now we wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement!
