Please keep the following guidelines in mind as you plan your end of year / start of next fiscal year computer-related purchases and activities.
LAST DAY TO PLACE FISCAL YEAR 2002/03 COMPUTER ORDERS
As stated by Carl Sgrecci, "all purchase requisitions for ordered goods and services chargeable to 2002/03 fiscal year need to be entered and approved in Parnassus by May 5, 2003… and received by the college no later than May 31, 2003." As such, all orders for computer equipment must be submitted to ACCS no later than Tuesday, April 29. Please keep in mind that even with the April 29 deadline, we cannot control manufacturer lead times or product availability, so the sooner you place your order, the better the chances are that everything will be received in time to be charged to the 2002/03 fiscal year.
SUMMER PROJECTS
We need to know by June 1 if you will need our assistance with any project that involves the moving, installation or upgrade of five or more computers as one project between June 1 and September 30. This includes moves due to renovations, new carpeting, painting, office relocations, and the like. Please send a brief description of your project to Irene Scott (iscott@ithaca.edu).
2003/04 FISCAL YEAR COMPUTER ORDERS
The vast majority of new computer purchases for the 2003/04 fiscal year will be ordered under the College's Technology Renewal Program. The first round of cycle "B" computer purchases and installations will start in June and run through September and will be focused on lab computers and systems to support new faculty / staff lines. Upgrades to existing faculty / staff office computers on cycle "B" will take place between October and April. Questionnaires for cycle "B" machines scheduled to be replaced this coming fall will be distributed in early May, and due back to ACCS by the end of May.
