I had the good fortune to attend a national presentation on this topic by our keynote speaker, Stuart Binder-Macleod. He speaks from extensive experience as a principal investigator and department chair who supports these activities for his faculty in the physical therapy department at the University of Delaware. His portion of the program will focus on opportunities and tips for funding from the NIH. A panel of our College colleagues will follow. Panelists will address their successes from other funding sources for a variety of projects and traineeships, and benefits of collaboration with faculty across academic units and individuals in the community. In addition, a panelist will offer insights from his experience as a grant reviewer.
The event will include breakfast and lunch and run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2003.
It is necessary to RSVP by Wednesday, May 7. Contact Denise Vanderburgh if you will attend. I look forward to this event for your benefit and hope you will attend. See the program below.
