New Assistant Director of Athletics

Deb Steward has been appointed as Ithaca College's new assistant director of athletics. She officially begins her new duties on June 30, 2003.
Deb served as the temporary assistant director of athletics this past year. She has 14 years of athletic administration and/or coaching experience at the NCAA Division III level. Prior to coming to Ithaca College, Deb was at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for eight years, where she managed a $2 million budget for an athletic department that sponsored 22 teams. She also coached three sports at St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota, before her time at Eau Claire. Deb presently serves as the chair of the NCAA Division III softball committee and has been a member of numerous NCAA and conference committees and advisory groups.
Deb received her M.Ed degree in professional development, with an emphasis in sports management, from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and her B.S. in mathematics education from Winona State University.
