IC Bus Trip to the Great New York State Fair

This is the 157th year of the Great New York State Fair. IC community members can bring the whole family and friends to Syracuse and spend a fun day viewing over 200 acres of animals, exhibits, and displays.
Date: Saturday, August 23, 2003
Cost: $20.00 bus only
The bus will leave Ithaca College O lot at 8:00 a.m. We'll stop in Dryden for coffee. The fair opens at 10:00 a.m. Departure time from Syracuse will be announced later.

New for 2003
JFK REMEMBERED 40th Anniversary Exhibit -- See hundreds of President Kennedy's personal items as well as a replica of his presidential limousine.
Chevrolet Rock & Roll Tour -- Created with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino-Las Vegas. Features interactive exhibits, rare memorabilia.
Daily attractions include
- Agricultural Museum -- Experience farm life more than a century ago. Broom-making, weaving, woodworking and much more
- Antique Tractor Display
- Butter Sculpture -- Located in the Dairy Products Building
- Carriage Museum -- More than 50 horse-drawn vehicles, a working blacksmith shop
- Wine Garden -- Overlooking Cole Muffler Court, the garden provides a place to relax, watch, and listen to the music of Boyz II Men and enjoy some of the fine wines of New York.
There will be many more fun things to see and do at the fair such as the
Sea Lion Splash, Shark Show, New York State Police Exhibit, Street corner entertainers, Strates Shows Midway, Verizon Center of Progress Building,
Youth Activity Center/Kiddieland, Sand Sculpture sponsored by Corning Museum of Glass, Price Chopper Horticulture Building, and the Pepsi International Pavilion.
And, of course, there's all that great food to eat at the fair.
Rent-A-Stroller
For those who have trouble doing the fair by foot and for the little ones who will tire out, the fair offers strollers, two sizes of wagons, and two sizes of wheelchairs.
