The Office of Residential Life recently announced its new PIECES (Providing Ithaca Experiences Connecting Every Student) Program for Opening weekend. This program will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2003, but now has a new time slot.
The time has been changed to 11:30 a.m. -- 3:00 p.m. PIECES will involve first-year students in activities designed to connect them to each other, to their class, and to Ithaca College.
Volunteers should plan to arrive at Emerson Suites by 11:15 a.m. There will be a training session for facilitators on Friday, August 22, at 3 p.m. in CNS 112. If you cannot attend, we also will provide a brief training Sunday morning. Plan on arriving at 10:45 a.m. if you need to participate in that training.
We are still looking for a few volunteers. We need individuals to serve as facilitators who will escort groups of students between various activities. We also are in need of individuals to help teach students the alma mater. There will be CDs of the alma mater. Volunteers will play the CDs and then sing with students.
