On September 20, 2003, the first Tompkins County Memory Walk will be sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association and held on the Alterra campus in Ithaca.
Memory Walk 2003 is a national fundraising event. All money raised will remain in Tompkins County to support a broad range of programs and services for people with the disease, their families, and caregivers.
I am walking in Memory Walk 2003 on Saturday, September 20, to raise money for people with Alzheimer's disease. Based on the knowledge gained from coordinating and participating in the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute conference on Alzheimer's disease on May 29, I felt it was time for me to do something personally. I am so excited that I have decided to be a team captain and invite you to walk with colleagues and me from the Gerontology Institute.
