AIDS Working Group Offers Two Events

In order to promote understanding of AIDS and to offer hope, the Ithaca College AIDS Working Group is sponsoring a panel discussion and a daffodil planting. Both events are free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, October 1, the group will present the 16th annual "Living with AIDS" panel discussion. The theme this year is "What We Do Together Makes a Difference." Beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall, panel members from many backgrounds and walks of life will share what they have experienced living with HIV and AIDS.

The public is invited to join the College community on Sunday, October 5, to help plant 2,003 daffodils on the slope between the Fitness Center and Hilliard Hall. This marks the fourth year of planting these spring blooms -- the symbols of hope. Those interested in taking part may sign up in advance by contacting Pat Cornell at the Ithaca College health center at 274-3177 or stop by the slope between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The AIDS Working Group consists of students, faculty, and staff who work to provide educational programs and public information about HIV and AIDS.
