On November 15, Americans will celebrate recycling by pledging to increase their recycling activities and by purchasing more products made from recycled materials as part of the seventh annual America Recycles Day.
Anyone who submits a pledge will be entered in a drawing to win a new Ford Focus PZEV, Trek aluminum bicycle, or a "Recycle Yourself Weekend" vacation package. To make a pledge at Ithaca College stop by the table in the Campus Center lobby this week, November 10-14, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A drawing for campus prizes will be held as part of the Resource and Environmental Management Program (REMP) and Ithaca College Environmental Society (ICES) celebration on Sunday, November 16, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Pub/Coffeehouse in the Campus Center.
The prize drawing will be followed by "Shaping the Future: a Student Focused Discussion about Sustainablity." REMP and ICES ask that faculty, staff, and administrators encourage students to attend this discussion about our economic, social, and environmental future. Recycling is the least that we can do to insure that our future and our children's future is safe, secure, and healthy.
