Ithacan editor-in-chief Joseph Geraghty '04 served as a panelist at a conference session on "Editors as Coaches" at the 2003 National Student Media Convention in Dallas, Texas, November 7.
Geraghty and three other student newspaper editors discussed the ways in which they not only edit their publications, but coach inexperienced staff members and help improve their journalistic skills.
Charlie Ellsworth '04, Rebecca Gardner '05, Katherine Maslanka '06, Elizabeth Quill '06, Anne Walters '05, Nathan Wilson '05, and Ithacan adviser Michael Serino also attended the four-day conference, which attracted more than 2,600 student and faculty attendees from around the country.
