Hillel sponsored a very successful charity event on Monday, November 17, with the help of Cornell Barbershop's Joe Chicone and his daughter, Mary Rose.
The event raised $450 in cash, and the 53 cut ponytails yielded 523" of hair that was sent to Locks of Love -- the Lake Worth, Florida, organization that distributes hairpieces to children who have lost their hair.
Hillel plans to make this an annual event every November on the Monday immediately preceding the College's Thanksgiving break. Next year that's on November 15. So, let your hair grow....
