The Face of Madagascar, a collection of more than 50 photographs taken by associate professor Janice Levy over the last 10 years in the island nation of Madagascar, will be featured as a solo show at the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean from November 24 through January 14.
Levy, who chairs the cinema and photography department in the Park School, has been to Madagascar six times since 1992. She has taught photography at Ithaca College since 1987 and her work has been exhibited internationally and published widely in textbooks and magazines.
Levy is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and a Light Work Grant. She is a 1992 recipient of the prestigious National Kellogg Fellowship Award.
