Sean McKeever (philosophy and religion) will be giving a talk/discussion entitled "Has Psychology Refuted Ethics?" on Wednesday, December 3, at 8:00 p.m. in 309 Friends Hall.
The talk is sponsored by the Ithaca College Philosophy Club and open to all who are interested.
McKeever will discuss what the latest work in experimental social psychology can teach us about our moral experience. In particular he will discuss some experiments that purport to show that, contrary to what people usually claim, our professed moral principles rarely if ever guide our behavior.
