The Office of International Programs cordially invites faculty applications for the spring 2005 semester of the London Sabbatic Program.
Applicants should be eligible for an approved, funded sabbatic from their school or division covering the spring 2005 semester. The selected faculty member is expected to teach one course complementary to the London Center curriculum, interact with London Center instructors and students, and attend London Center faculty meetings.
In exchange for teaching one course appropriate to the Ithaca College London Center experience, the selected faculty member will receive one roundtrip economy airline ticket to London from the nearest major airport, the use of the College's three-bedroom house in Collier's Wood for the semester, and access to London Center facilities. Family members may accompany the faculty member at the faculty member's expense.
The house in Collier's Wood is a 2- to 3-minute walk from the Collier's Wood tube (subway) station (in Zone 3 on the Northern Line), and near major shopping and schools. On average, a tube ride from Collier's Wood to the Gloucester Road tube stop for the Ithaca College London Center is 30 to 40 minutes. The house is furnished and includes a washing machine, computer, and other amenities. Keep in mind, however, that the third bedroom is very small. The selected faculty member will need to provide a damage deposit to the College before moving into the house.
Interested faculty eligible for sabbatic during the spring 2005 semester should provide a letter of interest, a one-page C.V., evidence of teaching excellence, and an outline of the course proposed for the London Center.
Please submit your application packet by Friday, February 13, 2004, to:
