The Handwerker Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of From Dust to Daylight: Selections from the Permanent Collection, its first exhibition of the spring 2004 semester. Curated by 11 Ithaca College Museology students, the exhibition features over 40 works of a variety of media from the gallery's permanent collection.

Over the course of the fall 2003 semester the students explored how exhibitions function. They applied this together with the academic skills, research techniques, and experience they acquired at Ithaca College to planning, developing, and designing the exhibition. Each of the 11 students wrote entries for the illustrated catalogue, available for purchase at the Handwerker Gallery.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22. The exhibition runs through February 15. The student-curators will give a gallery talk at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27. All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to all.
