Mara Alper, assistant professor in the TV/Radio Department at the Park School, received a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts for her documentary Forgiving the Unforgivable.
The grant will support distribution of the program. The program explores the possibility for profound healing through four powerful stories of a prisoner, a recovering alcoholic, a grieving mother, and a renowned world leader, Desmond Tutu.
Selection for funding was competitive. The grant is administered through National Video Resources, a not-for-profit organization established in 1990 by the Rockefeller Foundation to increase public awareness and access to independent media.
