The event is part of the College's yearlong lecture and film series, "Engaging Democracy and Troubling the Water."
Time magazine recently named Nussbaum as one of seven 21st-century thinkers who are coming up with "the new ideas that will change the world." She has authored many books, including The Fragility of Goodness: Luck and Ethics in Greek Tragedy and Philosophy, Cultivating Humanity: A Classical Defense of Reform in Liberal Education, Sex & Social Justice, Women and Human Development, and Upheavals of Thought: The Intelligence of Emotions.
