Ithaca will host this weekend's Empire 8 women's basketball championship tournament. The Bombers earned the right to host the tournament by winning the Empire 8 regular-season championship.
Ithaca will be the top seed and face fourth-seeded Elmira at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, in one semifinal. Second-seeded St. John Fisher will play third-seeded Hartwick at 4:00 p.m. in the other semifinal. The championship game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 29, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.
Ticket prices are $3 (adults) and $1 (students with ID). Children under 12 are admitted for free. There are no complimentary passes.
Ithaca (20-2, 12-1 Empire 8) is ranked 17th nationally.
