Winifred Mauser to retire from PT Department

Associate professor Winifred Mauser, P.T., Ed. D., will retire from IC at the end of the 2003-2004 academic year.

She has been a member of the physical therapy department faculty since 1994 and served as department chair from 1994 to 1998.

Mauser received a B.S. degree from Lindenwood College, a certificate in physical therapy from the Mayo Clinic, a M.S. in health sciences and education evaluation from SUNY Buffalo, and an Ed.D. in higher education administration from Temple University.

In addition to ongoing clinical practice in several settings, she has previously taught in physical therapy programs at Medical College of Georgia, Indiana University (also served as chair), Emory University, and Beaver College.

Mauser has been a long time member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She has served the profession nationally on numerous occasions including: being a member of the Advisory Council on Education and the Committee on Licensure Examination, Physical Therapy Program Accreditation; as a manuscript reviewer, book reviewer, and journal abstractor for the journal Physical Therapy; and as a founding editor of the Journal of Physical Therapy Education.
