Would your child enjoy earning $10.00 for playing a virtual reality game? Carole Dennis, occupational therapy, and Sharon Stansfield, mathematics and computer science, are conducting research with typically-developing children, age 5 to 12, to assess their reactions when playing a simple game within a virtual environment.

The game has been developed as a preliminary step in a plan to determine whether virtual reality can be used as an effective treatment tool for children with motor impairment, such as cerebral palsy.

The research requires that children spend approximately one hour in our research lab completing the research protocol. The game itself takes about 10 minutes to complete.

If you or your child would like to know more about this opportunity, please contact Sharon Stansfield, 607-274-3630.
