Do you know someone in your family or in your neighborhood who would enjoy some challenging temporary work and some extra cash?

There are temporary positions available beginning Saturday, August 21, and continuing through Friday, August 27, in the IC bookstore. Duties include running a cash register, door checking, and assisting with stocking shelves and maintaining the store in neat order. Candidates must be available for a three-hour orientation period (1:00-4:00 p.m.) on Thursday, August 19, at the bookstore. Candidates must also be available to work on Saturday and Sunday, August 21-22. Although scheduled work hours vary, standard weekday hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; standard weekend hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work schedules will be provided.

Required qualifications: skill or experience in register or cash handling; good interpersonal skills; enjoy working with the public. Some experience in retail or bookstore work desired.

Persons age 16 or 17 are welcome to apply but will need to have working papers to present at the orientation. Persons age 18 and older will need to have two forms of identification with them at the orientation.

Contact Mike Bovi at 274-3958 or report to the bookstore, 140 Phillips Hall, between Tuesday, August 3, and Friday, August 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
