Sandra Steingraber, Ithaca College's Distinguished Visiting Scholar, ecologist, author, and cancer survivor, will be giving a public presentation entitled "Living Downstream and the Legacy of Rachel Carson" on Tuesday, September 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites.
Steingraber is an internationally recognized expert on the environmental links to cancer and reproductive health. In addition to Living Downstream, Steingraber is the author of Post Diagnosis, a volume of poetry and co-author of The Spoils of Famine, a book on ecology and human rights in Africa.
The lecture is free and open to the entire campus community and to the public. We hope you will be able to join us in what promises to be an interesting and informative discussion.
