On Tuesday, October 5, the Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of Jeffrey Grogan in a free concert beginning at 8:15 in Ford Hall on the Ithaca College campus.
The ensemble of about 35 players will perform a Rossini opera overture and Fauré's Pelleas et Melisande Suite, op. 80. The major work will be Beethoven's second symphony, a bright, sunny, and cheerful work, despite being written at the time the composer's deafness was becoming total and permanent.
