Mentoring: Bridging the Gap Between Education, Clinical Practice, and Professional Involvement

Janice Elich Monroe (Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Services) along with therapeutic recreation major Deborah Silver '04 made a joint presentation.

They presented a session entitled, Mentoring: Bridging the Gap Between Education, Clinical Practice, and Professional Involvement at the 2004 American Therapeutic Recreation Association's Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri on October 2, 2004.

Therapeutic recreation graduate, Bethany Humphrey '04 was involved in developing the session but was unable to attend the conference because she is currently attending graduate school in Social Work in Buffalo.

Erin Fergusen, '84 was presented a presidential citation at the conference for her work as the coordinator of the Aquatic Therapy Treatment Network for the American Therapeutic Recreation Association
