A team of IC students recently presented to the Newfield town board, school board, and youth advisory committee, their semester-long project entitled "Policy and Procedures for Newfield Recreation and Youth Services."
The students were participants in Margie Arnold's administration and supervision course in the Department of Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Services. The 90-page comprehensive manual was the first for Newfield as they begin developing a municipal recreation department.
The following students participated in researching and developing the manual, and delivering the power point presentation to Newfield officials: Jennifer Ambro, Leigh Bonkowski, Carloyn Clarvoe, Zac Gannett, Seth Golding, Eric Hoffman, Lucas Owens, DJ Pierro, Bryan Randolph, Hannah Schmitz, Christi Ughetta, and Stephanie White.
The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance assisted with funding this student project.
