The Ithaca College Symphonic Band, under the baton of Henry Neubert, will perform a free concert on Thursday, February 3, at 8:15 pm in Ford Hall.
Baritone Randie Blooding will lend his resonant tone to the narration of Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait, a classic American work, as transcribed for band by Walter Beeler. Beeler is noted for his transcriptions for band and conducted the Ithaca College Concert Band for many years.
The program also includes Chance's Variations on a Korean Folk Song and Gorb's Awayday.
