Three architectural firms participating in the design competition for the new School of Business building will be making presentations on Monday and Tuesday, March 21 and 22 in the Hockett Recital Hall in the Whalen Center. All members of the campus community interested in seeing these presentations are welcome to attend.

The three finalists were chosen from a field of 15 firms that had expressed interest in the project by a committee composed of faculty, students, and administrators who have been working on this effort over the last several months. This design competition is an opportunity for each firm to demonstrate its creativity and possible approaches to designing this exciting addition to the campus. The committee expects to recommend one of the firms to the president and board of trustees shortly after completion of the presentations so preliminary program planning for the building can begin during April. Design of the building is expected to take approximately one year.

The names of each firm that will be presenting, the time of its presentation, and its website for further information is included below. Evaluation sheets for each firm will be available at the sessions, and we encourage individuals to attend all three sessions to enable fair comparisons of the competing firms.
