Kelly Samarzea Recital: Songs of Shakespeare and Sirens

Kelly Samarzea's recital has been canceled.


Contralto Kelly Samarzea will present a free faculty recital on Wednesday, March 23, at 8:15 pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall.

Her program features settings of Shakespeare texts, mostly by British composers, as well as a set of songs of Broadway.

Kelly Samarzea has appeared regionally with the Cincinnati Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Indiana University Opera Theater, in addition to extensive international performances throughout the Middle East and Asia. She has received prizes and honors from the Metropolitan Opera auditions, Opera Music Theater International, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
