The bursar's benefit auction has just received two beautiful collectible porcelain Shirley Temple dolls for our April 14 auction.

Doll #1 is dressed royally in a long flowing cape and comes complete with tiara. She is worth $200. Doll #2 is in an adorable blue outfit with matching hat and bows on her shoes, very reminiscent of Shirley in those heart breaking movies we all loved. This doll is worth $130, and both dolls come with a certificate of authenticity. If dolls aren't your thing, there are other unique donations that have come in over the past week.

It's never too early to plan for the future. We have just obtained two certificates from a local lawyer, enabling the successful bidders to create a will. Each will is worth $250.

It might be spring, but the weather is still chilly. Snuggle up with our large, Irish motif afghan, hand crafted for your comfort. If the afghan is too big for you, step down a size and bid on our luxurious couch blanket, also hand crafted and easily washable. If you want to go smaller yet, check out our beautiful hand crocheted burgundy scarf!

Love golf, but love goodies even more? Wait until you see our incredible "Hole in One" basket, chock full of golf themed containers filled with all sorts of delicacies!

Would you rather spend your money on practical items? We have it all...a solid brass entrance lock, a miter box saw, a mosquito fighter kit, an outdoor outlet box with six outlets, a table top gas grill, a fireplace tool set, and even a fertilizing sprinkler!

Ready to celebrate TGIF? What better way than with our deluxe sundae basket, filled to the max with all sorts of toppings, maraschino cherries, sundae glasses and spoons, and a gift certificate for ice-cream. A little decadence is good for the soul!

Show your Ithaca pride by bidding on the All Things Ithaca basket. Complete with the ever popular Ithaca Is Gorgeous shirt and matching mug, this clever basket contains all sorts of locally produced items, including a CD of IC's own Sons of Pitches.

The bursar's benefit auction will be held on Thursday, April 14, in Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. Preview of items and silent auction are from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm, followed by the live auction from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Money raised will be donated to the Tompkins County SPCA, the Alzheimers Association, and the Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative. Stay tuned to Intercom for updates, a few surprises, and a link to a website that will enable you to preview items! See you there!
