Spring has sprung and it is time again for our annual Celebration of Service recognition reception. Join us from noon to 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, in the Emerson Suites for ice cream and a performance by the staff choir, IC Voices.
This year’s reception features the following:
*SHOW OFF YOUR SERVICE PINS -– the first 200 people to register their acts of service at the event will receive a special 2005 giraffe service pin. We want to honor you all for the volunteer efforts you have put forth throughout the year.
*MEET AND GREET -– Many of our community partners have also been invited to the reception. We encourage you to take the time to get to know them and talk about the work they do in our community.
*SCOONES AWARDS -- We will also present two deserving students with the annual William A. Scoones Community Service Award. The award was created to honor two students who have demonstrated an exemplary volunteer record as a student volunteer.
*SERVICE SLIDE SHOW -- Has your office performed and act (or acts) of service this year? Do you have any pictures? Please email them to [mailto:volunteer@ithaca.edu ] so they can be included in the annual slide show. The slide show will be presented at 1:00 pm. If you would like to put together a display of your service efforts, we will also be decorating the room with posters and information about service events that took place this year.
*SOUTH HILL CLEANUP -- Join us on Saturday morning for the annual South Hill Community Cleanup. Meet us on the corner of Renzetti Place and Hudson Street for breakfast from 9:00 am to noon. Gloves and bags will be provided!
