Campus Interviews for Director of First Year Academic Programs and Advising

Two candidates will be interviewing for the position of director of first year academic programs and advising during the week of April 25. Each will make an open public presenation, "Vision for a Comprehensive First Year Program," to which the campus community is invited.

Lawrence T. Potter, Jr., director and associate professor of Africana studies and English and coordinator of the multicultural student achievement program at Western Michigan University, will interview on Wednesday, April 27.

Michael John T. Gilbert, associate professor and chair of foreign languages and faculty of the first year humanities program and interdisciplinary studies faculty at Coastal Carolina University, will interview on Thursday, April 28.

Both candidates will meet with various campus constituencies related to first-year programming and make an open public presentation, at noon. Potter will give his presentation in Emerson Suite C, Wednesday, April 27, and Gilbert will present in Klingenstein Lounge, Thursday, April 28.
