I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Bohn, currently special assistant to the provost, as interim director of the Washington Semester Program beginning June 1.
As interim director, Tom will continue to expand and develop this program, carrying out a review of the curriculum, strengthening the internship placements, facilitating the development of vision and mission statements for the program, and developing an enrollment marketing plan. In addition, he will provide the necessary administrative oversight and budget management of the Washington Semester Program, and he will initiate a summer program including internships and classroom instruction to begin in 2006.
Tom brings a wealth of experience and skill to this position, including the establishment of the very successful communications program in Los Angeles. I look forward to working with him during the next two years to make the Washington Semester Program equally successful.
