A memorial service will be held in Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 26, for Ithaca College student Kimberly Chu, who passed away unexpectedly on campus last Friday. The College has made arrangements for bus transportation from campus to the service, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Germantown Friends School, 31 West Coulter St., Philadelphia, PA (215-951-2300).
Anyone interested in traveling to the service on the bus is asked to contact the Office of Student Affairs and Campus Life at 274-3374 by 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The bus will depart for the service on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. from U lot in front of the Campus Center.
In addition to the memorial service, calling hours will be held earlier in the day on Tuesday at the Jacob F. Ruth Funeral Directors, 8413 Germantown Road, Chestnut Hill, PA (215-247-9090). Calling hour times have not yet been finalized; they will be announced on Intercom as soon as they are available.
A graduate of Germantown Friends School, Kim was a sociology major at the College and had been working this summer as a building manager in the Campus Center. An on-campus memorial service to celebrate Kim’s life will be planned for when students return to campus in the fall. Details will be announced once these plans are finalized.
