FedEx Signature Options and Fees

The FedEx Direct, Indirect, and Adult Signature option fees take effect, Monday 9/19/05.

  • Direct signature costs $2.00 and requires someone at the residence to sign for the mail piece.
  • Indirect signature costs $1.50 and allows for someone at the residence or a neighboring residence to sign for the mail piece.
  • Adult signature costs $2.50 and requires the signee to present photo ID, be 21 years old, and reside at the residence.
  • FedEx Passkey (now ship manager) users, when checking the residential button on the shipping page, must go to the options page if a signature is required.
  • FedEx ship manager automatically defaults to release signatures when a residential address is selected.
