Orange Friday! 9-30-2005

The Students for a Just Peace write:
We are calling on all students and faculty members who oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to unite and make our voices heard through a day of education. Events will be held on the Commons, as well as at Cornell and Ithaca College starting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005, when we meet at the Textor Ball to march down to the Commons to kick off Orange Friday.
The schedule for Friday, September 30th follows:
- Rally at Free Speech Rock at 10 a.m. to raise awareness for the event.
- Student run workshops from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the north meeting room and
McDonald Lounge.
- Fred Wilcox presents "Saving Mother Earth: Why We Need A Revolution"
from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the McDonald Lounge.
- Maura Stephens presents "Hell on Earth: Life in Occupied Iraq" from 2:00 p.m.
to 4:00 p.m. in Textor 102.
- March to Commons from the Free Speech Rock at 4:00 p.m. to finish off the day
with more workshops, events, and food!
