The yearlong Ithaca College Concerts season "Return Engagements" will open on Wednesday, October 5, with a performance by the Beaux Arts Trio. The concert will begin at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. This year's season was so named because each of the scheduled performers has previously appeared at the College. Now in its 51st season, the Beaux Arts Trio last played in Ford Hall in 1980.
The program will include Martinu's First Trio, Beethoven's Second Trio, and Schubert's Trio in E-flat Major.
Tickets to the entire season -- which also includes an October 24 concert by the King's Singers and a March 2 performance by violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg with pianist Anne-Marie McDermott -- are available at 20 percent off the individual ticket prices. Individual tickets are on sale at the Clinton House ticket center and Willard Straight Hall box office. For ticket information call (607) 273-4497 or 800-284-8422.
Individual ticket prices are as follows:
Children, senior citizens, and Ithaca College students -- $10
Ithaca College alumni, faculty, staff, and administrators; Friends of Ithaca College; other students -- $16.50
General public -- $20
