The 8th Annual Perialas Prize in Persuasion is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences this year by inviting students to speak on the topic "What event since 1955 has had the most impact on higher education in the U.S. Today?"
The Perialas Prize in Persuasion is sponsored by the Department of Speech Communication and is open to all students at Ithaca College. Interested students should prepare and present an 8- to 10-minute extemporaneous speech on the topic by Oct. 27th. Three winners are selected to speak at a celebration on the evening of Nov. 3rd. Aside from being provided with an opportunity to influence others, one of the three winners receives a $500 cash prize.
