The Ithaca College chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) is pleased
to invite community members to the first of several scheduled prejudice reduction workshops.
The program will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Williams 219.

Established in October of 2003, the Ithaca College NCBI chapter closely follows the
mission of the national organization to 0"eliminate prejudice and intergroup conflict in
communities throughout the world." The Prejudice Reduction Workshop is a prevention-oriented
program designed to help communities cope with and rise above issues of prejudice and
intergroup conflict that arise.

Said NCBI trainer Robert Earl: "We see NCBI as one of many opportunities to put the
conversation of diversity and equity into action. What is unique about NCBI is it allows
the entire Ithaca College community-faculty, staff and students to share in a common unifying
experience regardless of our differences, and in spite of our so-called commonalties."

In the past Ithaca College NCBI has provided the Prejudice Reduction Workshop for
the Cross Cultural Leadership Retreat, the Tompkins County Society of Human Resource
Managers, the Offices of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs, and the Ithaca College Day
of Learning.

This program is offered free of charge to all Ithaca College community members. Lunch will be provided.
Space is limited so reserve your spot today by contacting: [mailto:ncbi@ithaca.edu].
