The majority of colleges and universities do not hold classes on MLK Day. Find out why IC does.
Should MLK Day be a day off, or a day of education?
Whatever your opinion, voice it at the forum.
Over the course of the last few weeks, the college administration as well as the Student Government Association (SGA) has been discussing Martin Luther King Jr. day and Ithaca College's decision to hold classes on the day.
According to a recent survey, the general student consensus seems to be that the day should be observed as a holiday.
SGA and the Diversity Council are co-sponsoring a forum to discuss this issue. The forum aims to open the floor to discussion between students, faculty and staff in a way that Ithaca College has not yet seen.
The forum will be held on Wednesday November 9th in Williams 225 at 6pm.
