Applications for the following positions are being accepted:
ADVERTISING CHAIR
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement ad campaign for individual events, including but not
limited to: flyers, white boards, table tents, electronic board, Ithacan ads, and other forms of direct marketing
* Work with Advertising Committee (Marketing/PR and Multimedia Chairs)
to ensure consistency in publicity
* Assist Marketing/PR Chair as needed
Requirements:
* Should be creative and innovative in design and advertising methods
* Should have good communication skills and computer skills – knowledge of
Publisher, Page Maker, and Adobe Acrobat a plus
* Must attend all weekly board meetings and all events unless worked out with
advisor and executive board before hand.
EVENT PLANNER
Responsibilities:
*Work closely with Vice Executive Chair to plan and implement programs
*Work with board at pre-semester planning session to brainstorm ideas/themes for events
*Facilitate charette (brainstorming sessions) at designated meeting for each event
*Work with Advertising Committee and Facilities Chair to design
all elements of program based on ideas and feedback from the Executive Board
*Propose complete concept of each event to Executive Board at designated meeting
*Research artists, performers, and vendors (prices, services, availability)
*Work with Executive Chair and advisor to negotiate contracts with
outside vendors and performers
*Delegate responsibilities for each event to designated chairs
Requirements:
*Should be creative, well organized, and have strong delegation and communication skills.
*Programming experiences a plus, but not required.
*Must attend all weekly board meetings and all events unless worked out
with advisor and executive board before hand.
