TRLS Faculty, Alumni and Students Present at Cortland Recreation Conference

Faculty, alumni, and students from the Department of Theraputic Recreation and Leisure Services offered a variety of presentations on a range of topics related to recreation services at the Cortland Recreation Conference on November 3, 2005.
David Ackerson presented "123, ABC, Do Re Mi, LNT" on Leave No Trace environmental principles.
Margaret Arnold and recreation management major Carolyn Clarvoe presented "You Know You Want To!", encouraging students to think about becoming a professor.
Maureen Baringer presented "You're Invited...!" on event planning.
Linda Heyne and SUNY Cortland faculty Lynn Anderson
presented "Strength-Based Practice in Therapeutic Recreation: A New Way of Thinking."
Norm Pure and therapeutic recreation alum Charles Dorsey presented "Beyond Barriers" on a character enrichment outdoor adventure program for youth at risk.
