You never wear that! We know you don't! Why don't you take a moment as you dig out your winter clothing to donate those items you know you never wear to the Share the Warmth campaign!
Once again, Ithaca College has partnered with the local Rotary club and Cornell University in a community-wide clothing collection campaign. We are looking for warm winter clothing in gently used condition to give to local residents in need. Last winter, the community collected over 300 bags of clothing, 75 of which came from Ithaca College. We're trying to beat that record this year!
We are looking specifically for hats, scarves, mittens, coats, blankets, sweaters, but will take any donated clothing you are willing to give. Just please be sure it is clean.
Look for donation bins (big blue recycling bins with the red share the warmth sign) here:
1. Campus Center Lobby
2. Muller Center
3. CHS
4. Student Activities Center
5. Park School Lobby
6. Music School
7. Laundry Room in the Terraces/Towers/Gardens
8. TV Lounges in the Quads and Emerson
Bins will be out until the morning of the 7th. Thanks in advance for your generosity! It should be noted that last year each and every piece of donated clothing was handed out, showing a true need in our community for us to step forward and help one another.
Also, anyone interested in sorting clothing can join us for a sorting party on Wednesday, December 7th -- more details about the sorting party will be posted soon.
