Barney Beins (Psychology) has been appointed to the Social Sciences Academic Advisory Committee by the Office of Academic Initiatives of the College Board.
According to the College Board, committee members are chosen for their expertise in the field of education and for their knowledge of student and instructional constituencies that use College Board programs and services. The College Board oversees tests like Advanced Placement and the disciplinary Major Field Tests. The committee provides advice on educational trends and on the needs of institutions and students. This is a three-year appointment that will continue until 2009.
