During the early morning hours of Sunday, January 22, in an apartment in the 100 block of Hudson Street, an Ithaca College female student was awakened by an unknown male who had entered her apartment through an unlocked door. He remained inside the apartment for 20 to 30 minutes watching her with the aid of a flashlight as she pretended to be asleep. The unknown subject fled the apartment when the woman sat up and screamed, which also alerted her housemates who were sleeping in their bedrooms in the apartment.

The victim could only describe the subject as a male wearing dark clothing. She was unable to provide any further description to the Ithaca Police Department, who responded to her emergency call.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who has experienced a similar incident, should contact the Ithaca Police Department at 272-9976 or the Ithaca College Office of Public Safety at 274-3333.

Students are reminded to always keep their doors locked and report any suspicious people or activity to the authorities.
