A special roundtable on international communications will be held on Tuesday, January 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Park 220.
The roundtable will feature three distinguished guests: Mohammed Zin Nordin, visiting Fulbright Specialist and Dean of the School of Communication at University Sains Malaysia, Penang; John Rosenbaum, retired associate professor of television-radio in the Park School; and John Keshishgolou, professor emeritus, television-radio. All three speakers have been Fulbright Scholars and have also worked, consulted, and taught extensively around the globe.
The roundtable will discuss global media issues, including representations of Islam, the tsunami, war, Bosnia, environmental issues, development, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and the global flow of information.
The roundtable is jointly sponsored by the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, the Roy H. Park School of Communications, and the culture and communication program. It is free and open to the public.
