Are you the person in a crowd who others always envy because of your talents? Are your afghans, pies, or paintings always in demand? Have you cut a CD that needs some publicity? We have just the place to showcase them all: the 4th annual Bursar's Benefit Auction!

For the 4th year, the Bursar's Benefit Auction is committed to raising funds for community charities. This year our proceeds will go to the Tompkins County SPCA and Hospice of Ithaca. We would love to have your specialties highlighted in our auction! Over a hundred people attended last year's auction, and we are confident even more will attend this year. What better place to show off your talents?

Over the past 3 years we have raised over $7500 for local charities. We are hoping to raise another large amount this year! Please help us achieve our goal by offering to donate something to the auction. Everybody wins..you get to show off your talents, and the charities get a well deserved gift. Not sure what to donate? Be creative! Over the past years we have offered homemade quilts and afghans, original photos and paintings, gift baskets for the garden, your pets, or your kids, wallhangings, services for such luxuries as gourmet cakes, etc. We will also have donations from local businesses and celebrities, but one of the reasons we enjoy our auction so much is that it gives our campus community a chance to shine. Please contact the Bursar's Office at 274-3135 if you are interested in providing a donation.

Don't forget to save the auction date! The auction will be held on Wednesday, March 29th in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. Sam Lapp and Duane Corbin will be leading the bids once again -- it is worth coming to see them in action even if you don't buy anything! Please stay tuned to Intercom for additional information as the date draws near.
