Linda Buettner, the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute's Distinguished Lecturer for 2006, will present a colloquium for faculty members called “Never Too Old, Sick, or Bad for Research in Aging.” Note that this event is on Friday, February 17, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. As usual, the Center for Faculty Excellence provides beverage and light treats and you are welcome to bring lunch.
Whether you have considered research in aging for your own work or not, this promises to be a stimulating presentation and conversation. The ICGI provides unusual levels of support for research in aging, and options exist for faculty in all campus areas. Many of us integrate issues of aging into courses and study and publish the innovations as scholarship of teaching and learning.
